Re: Begins gauntlet project resurrected! - PIC update 4/07 - finished gauntlets!
Nice, Really nice work Pat!
It's been a pleasure seeing how these have shaped up. Well done for showing all your progress along the way.
Are they quite smooth on the inside?
If they are I'd say just leave 'em. If theyre slightly rough you could do as others have done and use felt on the inside.
I know that when using a neoprene undersuit or say for example a Quintana Roo, it dosen't take much to mark the surface. I now keep my toe nails really short :lol
But as you say at the end of the day it wouldn't take much for people to add this themselves.
But anyway excellent work and thanks for sharing all the pics.

Well.... in some cases they're not PERFECTLY smooth... but then again they aren't exactly lumpy either. Maybe a ridge here and there(from drips I couldn't stop while the resin was curing).

Bravo: mission accomplished! this is the model without hinged doors right? Still planning on doing some with the opening part?

These are the solid resin ones without hinged doors.
To tell you the truth I'm almost afraid to cut into these since I dont wanna f*** them up. :lol
Thanks guys! :)

Re: Begins gauntlet project resurrected! - PIC update 4/07 - finished gauntlets!
that's understandable! but since its the hard resin version, is your hand gonna go through easily?
And would you say this resin could withstand hits and cuts (to a certain point of course)? Its just that I would like something worthy of being called «protective gear», thats why I mentionned fiberglass a while back.
