Batman Beyond Armor
Ok, I'm back, and the old thread is missing. Probably to many big pictures and got deleted Ah well. And, although it still is a Star Wars inspired concept, the way it looks it doesn't have to be, so I can answer questions at cons alot easier.
Anyways, I'm working on the helmet, and I wanted your guy's opinion, since your all the bat experts. Any and all C&C is welcome.
Just to recap, this is the suit:
The first version of the helmet, originaly just a face mask. Looks like a Goblin mask, or even the Punisher.

mask-02
mask-03
Then some hours later. Like the Azrael inspired ears?
Small Ears
Medium Ears
Large Ears
Toying around with Star Wars theme, using the T-visor, dropping the Goblin facade.
Boba/Jango T-Visor
Then the latest:
Made the ears shorter, and worked on reshaping them a bit to better match the show's cowl, but I made the width way to small. I've gone with the heart shaped visor, but after looking at some previous versions, I'm going to revise that later.
I've also added the rear of the helmet, sharpend up some edges, and a teaser to waht I'm working on next with it. My thought is to keep it a face plate, but have the fornt part flip up like a hockey goalie's helmet.
I still have a few other details I'm going to add, but they won't be to major, besides the visor of course. Oh, and I'm going with a white or silver visor, to better match the classic "white eyes" of the cartoon. If I go white, I'll have to use the same thing that the Halo buckets use. If it comes in white, that is.
Different chin for flare:

here's a link to a picture... the helmet is more stylized.. and the visor is thinner like your batman beyond armor.
your concept looks great!... i like the shorter ears better.

Re: Batman Beyond Armor
Thanks. I've been stuck between the medium and small ears. I like both, so I'll just have to experiment.
The Mandalore helmet was one of the two main ref sources. I also used a batman beyond motorcycle figurine helmet:

Re: Batman Beyond Armor
This whole concept rocks! I personally like the medium length ears the best.
Keep rockin' bro.

Re: Batman Beyond Armor
I'm diggin it!
I really like the Beyond Motorcycle helmet idea. Make the eye windows big enough to actually use.
For the record, I like the medium ears.

Re: Batman Beyond Armor
I like the medium ears.
Also on the visor, just a suggestion but if your using the visor from the third picture in your post what about carving two small bat ears in the visor shape?

Re: Batman Beyond Armor
Thanks. I'm still experimenting with the visor. After getting the ears right, that's the next thing on my list.
I'll see about getting some more up this weekend. School just started, and I got work till late. :whack
