Re: Begins 3D Belt
So here's my first test. Cut with a 1/32 inch bit. I'm guessing it will finish better with a 1/64. Also needs to be cast in resin so the side slots can be cut.
But all in all I'm happy with the first test. Sorry for out of focus.. was too close for the camera.

Those look PERFECT! I need a set. :wink :lol
What did you cut the mold into?
And how did you figure out the proper dimensions for the clips?

The mold is Wax!! So it's really only good for 1 or 2 pulls if the cutting is very fine and detailed. ... but once used I can melt it down and start over.
Looked at lots of pics to get the scale / dimensions. That's all set in the CAD drawing.

Re: Begins 3D Belt
Cool! I'd love to build something like that.
As far as the clips, I guess it would be best to clean up a resin casting made from the wax and then remold it in silicone anyway.

Re: Begins 3D Belt
I thought I'd try the centre of the belt I drew.
Might make another. Just need to change the scale of a few things. :guitar

Re: Begins 3D Belt
you're well on your way to create something very nice. You said you'd want to built this belt out of what? and is this belt shown Batguano's?
