I don't think this is the final mold. It is wax which is less than ideal for casting. So I am guessing that this is the positive which he is going to make the mold out of. Or it actually is the negative but hard to tell from the photos. emoticon

What you have done looks great, but if you are using the fin thing as a mold, shouldn't the the thing in the mold be dremeled into the wax instead of it being raised on the wax? Hope that makes sense.




Yep that makes sense.. What I've cut is 1/2 a mold. Fill it with silicon along with the other side i've yet to cut then do injection molding into the silicon. In theory I should end up with 3 very nice looking fins.

any plans on doing TDK armor in 3d? I've got modeling skill sbut mostly just architectural so these darned curved human forms are a bit of a challenge for me.

I've not really planned very much. Im still just working out the software side of things for the CNC. I might look into a larger machine. Here's a picture of the Hip.
