Joker Hair
Hey guys, I am wondering what's out there to make your hair green and free flowing. I don't want to dye my hair green and yet the only other way I can think of to make my hair green is to get that hair color spray thats like green hair spray and makes your hair still. So if any of you know of any good products I'd love for you to share. Thanks.
P.S. I ordered my suit so I should get it next week as well with my shoes I will be sure to post pics when it arrives.

Re: Joker Hair?
I'm still brainstorming on how im going to do mine. But here's what im leaning twards. I'm gonna go down to the local wig shop and see if they carry any dirty blonde curly wigs. Snag one if they have it, and buy some green dye from Sally's (hair product store) then dye the blonde wig green. So it has that split feeling like in the pics from the Dark knight. Now i'm not even sure if you're putting together a DK joker suit. But I imagine this could work for a comic style costume as well. Just a thought.

Re: Joker Hair?
there's special colored hair glue. it washes out, and stays in place, unlike the spray which gets its chalky goodness all over you...
something like this...

Re: Joker Hair?
yah I wouldn't recomend that glue
I tried it for halloweena nd it was awfull.
just a big ball of glue, didn't spread out like gel and just plastered my hair.
I had to take a shower to get rid of it, go back out and buy a spray.
much better but your bathroom is going to feel it :)
it washes off too.

Re: Joker Hair?
it works very well, if you do it right... :p
seriously, though- it's a hair glue- which means it's at least ten times stronger than the strongest hair gel,
you just thin it with water and comb it through your hair if you want the joker look. there is also body makeup,
it is water-based and usually called "body paint"
i'm pretty sure that's what they combed through the joker's hair in batman:dead end.
the body paint is good if you don't want your hair to be hard. but i like that, but that's just me... :drummer

Re: Joker Hair?
I've used the green gel they sell at Party City. (Can't remember the name but it's sold at most costuming stores.) It is very thick but if you apply it then use a hair dryer on it it'll soften up a little.
I haven't tried it yet, but Hot Topic has this stuff which says it washes out in 5-10 washes.

Re: Joker Hair?
anything that "washes out in blank to blank washes" is hair dye. be weary of it if you don't dig the green look...
i'm dying my hair, personally- but that's just what i like to do.
i forgot to mention,
to get the color green in tdk the joker has,
you have to mix a green colorant with a yellow colorant, and to make it look faded, add a little white. this is the best advice i can give as far as the body paint hair color goes...

ya I can't use that stuff cause my work prohibits extreme hair color so I need something that will last and come out in one wash. I think I am going to go with that glue.

see that's the thing :(
I thought it was like a strong gel so i didn't cut it with water.....hence my plastered hair.....
