For accuracy, yeh, thats the way to do it, but man it gets way too hot. I use a 2 piece spandex undersuit now (under armor) and I wiont change. Its alot cooler and allows for better movement.nondisclosed_email@example.com (Shadowbat69)Sun, 20 Apr 2008 14:38:38 +0000 Re: Quick questions on undersuitshttps://bbrotherhoodofthebat.runboard.com/p2086172,from=rss#post2086172https://bbrotherhoodofthebat.runboard.com/p2086172,from=rss#post2086172I have '89 armor with shoulders mounted to the suit and there was no sag from either the chest OR leg armor. Walking up and down stairs, sitting in a chair, getting in and out of a car, rolling on the floor, doing cartwheels, etc.... The only thing that's a pain in the a$$, is the cape and the sweat from the cowl. Comfort is king in a Batman suit. nondisclosed_email@example.com (EchoSix)Sat, 19 Apr 2008 21:47:32 +0000 Re: Quick questions on undersuitshttps://bbrotherhoodofthebat.runboard.com/p2086166,from=rss#post2086166https://bbrotherhoodofthebat.runboard.com/p2086166,from=rss#post2086166I have glued 89 armor to a lycra undersuit, and the legs did sag badly. I now use a 2mm neoprene wetsuit. I wore it last H'ween, when the temp was an unseasonable 80 degrees. I did sweat like mad, but my body felt quite comfortable, believe it or not. I'd have been great, were it not for my head sweating so much in the cowl. nondisclosed_email@example.com (Lrcrow)Sat, 19 Apr 2008 20:59:42 +0000 Cloth Suits & Sagginghttps://bbrotherhoodofthebat.runboard.com/p2086090,from=rss#post2086090https://bbrotherhoodofthebat.runboard.com/p2086090,from=rss#post2086090So in this thread it was mentioned that these Rivers Edge Dancewear suits make a good breathable undersuit to glue onto to. So my question is: Will they sag? I had a Nylon undersuit that I tried reinforcing and gluing to but everything still sagged WAY to much for the costume to really work. Would these hold up better? Hearing all of the horror stories and having worn many versions of my Bat suit for over 10 years I know how hot they can be. The idea of a wet suit just sounds to painful. So, I'd like to put this issue to rest. Has anyone glued both chest and leg pieces to a suit like this? Does it sag? How much? Oh, and were the legs cut down the side? (it seems like that might make a difference in sag-ability) :)nondisclosed_email@example.com (vittorio2)Sat, 19 Apr 2008 11:49:37 +0000
