Personal Costume Blog Pages
It has been pointed out that it would be neat if we all had a simple way to showcase our stuff in one place, something akin to myspace, but a little simpler & focused on costumes. We actually had plans long ago to have a website where each member would get a page for their stuff, but that got shelved for a number of reasons.
I realized that runboard has a blog feature that could be easily used for this purpose. Every member could put up whatever they want, however they want. You can even have one post that is continually edited when you want to add stuff, so it would all be on one page. (Unless there's a character limit on blog posts, not sure about that.)
This would be a good way to have everything together for reference, instead of scattered throughout threads. If someone wants to see that neat cowl you made a year ago, they probably won't be able to find the thread easily.
Here's an example, just a test post I made to see how it worked. I assume html will work just like it does here, but I haven't tried that yet.

You can access any member's blog by clicking their username, and then clicking the "Yes" next to "Blog available:". On each blog there is a link to add it to your runboard favorites list, so if you want to go back you can always access it through your control panel.
To activate your blog, follow these directions:
Go to your control panel.
Click "Change miscellaneous settings".
Check the "Activate your Blog?" setting. It's the last little box in that first section of them, right before the larger fields for messenger names.
Scroll to the bottom and click "Save settings". You may need to do this a couple times, I did.
When the blog is active, you can post to it by going to your control panel. Near the bottom of the page, under "Inbox", you'll see "Your blog is active. Click here to edit it."
If you decide to add content to your blog, post here to say there's something to see! Feel free to post any time you update, somehow I doubt most of us will think to click on usernames & check for blog posts.
Hope this sounds like a good idea to you guys, seemed like the easiest way to share without having to go outside of runboard. :)
