Batsuit storage/transportation

Like the heading says, how do you guys store and transport your batsuit.
I will (fingers crossed) be the proud owner of a complete begins suit in the next few days and need to know emoticon I am toying with the idea of a mannaquinn but as space is slightly limited wondered if the 'torso only' type would do. Also when attending events do you just stuff it in a suitcase :surprise
All my previous costumes have been hard armour (Boba Fett, Scout Trooper, clone trooper) and i'm a little unsure about how to handle a full latex costume :)
Any advise would be great

Jon

One of those pull along suitcases would be good so you can keep it as flat as possible :up and stuff your cowl with a bin liner or something else soft to stop it getting squashed flat. I keep my cowl in the original box it came in and put soft packing (old towel cut up) around it. :batman When you pack the case, try and put the separate items in, in the order you will put them on, saves having to get it all out and spread it around the floor, then you risk misplacing something or damaging it. :up :up

Put it on before you leave the cave. emoticon

Colin's idea may be more practical though.

Large plastic bins. My cowls I keep stuffed with papers so they don't get warped.

Zippered garment bag (closet size) for the suit components. Ditto on the plastic bins for cowls and accessories.

We use large plastic bins, too. Anything that can be hung on a hanger (bodysuits, capes, etc.) is grouped into one garment bag. Cowls are stuffed with towels, and we usually just set them carefully on top of the other stuff packed in the car and carry them by hand.

Re: Batsuit storage/transportation

Unless I have to change at home, I toss everything in a dufflebag in reverse order.

from the bottom of the bag up:
Boot covers wrapped in cape
belt(s)*,
main part of suit (be it the spandex top/bottoms or the top/bottoms/armor for the 92 hybrid)
gloves
cowl

"repair kit" that contains electrical tape, double-sided tape and saftey scissors; eyeblack and remover; pen for autographs; marker for paint touchups on the boot covers**; and a case for my glasses all go in a built-in side pocket on the exterior of the bag.

this method has yet to fail me, so it's gonna be a "Weapon of choice" with transportation.

* I've had my DE belt fail on me mid-event, so I've learned to take the begins as a back-up

**my facades were made with a nice dark blue vinyl.... couldn't find it in black so I spray-painted them black from blue... have to do touch-ups before every event with a marker.

edit:
oh, yeah, as for storage.... I just hang the comic style together on one hanger (pants, top, cape) in the back of my closet..... makes a cool display when my clothes are moved aside.

armor, and the underclothes for it each have their own hangers: armor, shirt, pants.

the two above are side-by-side in my closet.

cowl is on a 2-liter soda bottle with plastic bags stuffed inside it.
The gloves, the belts, and the boot covers are on a shelf in my closet next to the cowl.

I'm gonna try to go all-out one of these days and make the batvault in my basement....

I have two large plastic bins, one for the costume and the other for the cowl. I then use a rolling luggage carrier to move everything. Works out well. I use a styrofoam head to keep the shape of the cowl. No problems as of yet.

What about air travel? As in flying to a convention. I was thinking of getting a hat box for the cowl. Can you use a plastic bin and tape it up? I have a comic style so it can be folded and packed. Iron it when we get there if needed.
