Re: I just saw The Dark Knight suit up close
POSSIBLE SPOILER
Any more pictures of the suits in the backround? I really think those are the film's take on the Miller's Dark Knight "army of batmen". They even have the face-masks.
...In fact, in some of the viral web campaigning for the film, there is mention of "citizens for batman".
Can read an "article" about it on Gothamcablenews.com

it's HARDLY a Mission Impossible episode. Having the knowledge that all you have to do, is show the museum's security guard your badge, kinda' takes all the "danger" and "stealth" out of it, dontcha' think? :lol

Re: I just saw The Dark Knight suit up close
Nice pics...and yes you're beautiful..if that'll shake a few more pics out of ya'...:)
That whole 'translucent' thing is exactly how the Nomex costume in Begins was done...basically before it got sprayed black in the film. None of the details were painted on...everything is underneath the clear skin.
Sorry for the size of this pic, it's so you can see it in all it's glory.
The Nomex suit was a bunch of urethane pieces cast into and around a clear urethane skin of the Batsuit shape but with no bat...the Batsuit however was foam latex. Seeing as foam isnt transparant, TDK costume this time around is also urethane. No airbrushing...just sections impregnated into clear urethane. Very BIG wow factor...:)

actually those are just fashion pieces. The whole exhbit is on fashion and costumes and their relation basically. Alot of the show is somewhat blah... the fashion pieces i saw were just uninteresting.
I swear i already posted this response but as usual posts seem to disapear sometimes.
Wanted to say great pics, and thank god they have good lighting on the suit which let you snap sharp shots. Im going to get as many pics as i can manage too when i go this summer. I thought about dressing up for the event, but i dont think they would let me. If they do i will just go back again, im close enough.

Well i guess all this complicates Adam's job to be the first in line with a complete suit... :confused

Re: I just saw The Dark Knight suit up close
thanks for all the responses and laffs bros. The other suits there are some wacky fashion outfits that are supposedly influenced by the super-heroe culture(nothing to do with any movies and so forth), other suit of interest are Tobey's Spidey suits(black and regular), Pfieffer Catwoman, Downey Iron-man armor(silver version), Mystique statue with rubber appliances, Linda Carter tv used wonder-woman, they have a Chris Reeve Superman but it is projected for an effect. Is it worth traveling tons of miles to come see? No, in my opinion cure yourself with my pics and save your money for something else and BTW Liam my pal I couldn't go that route in the museum, too many people, thats why it took superior Ninja skills to get these pics, anyways cowl shots...
the neck does not look that thin in person, nor does the Bat on the chest look small
if the bros dig these I'll post the arms up later tonight, enjoy
