My Cowl Size Comparison
Thought this would be a fun little comparison. I have two of my personal cowls in my collection pictured on the bottom of this linked page.
The first one is the original one I first did back 15 plus years ago, and the second one is the way it is if I were to make one now. It got bigger and smoother because it came out of a really soft plaster mold, way softer than Hydrocal, and I made a few of them over the years to create a noticeable difference. Each one got bigger by a fraction of an inch.
Also just for kicks the top image shows a standard licensed cowl you can buy, and how I made mine differently from that one to suit my needs for more realism in my costuming.

Re: My Cowl Size Comparison
The cowl you sculpted Paul is pure awesomeness. I wanted one of those when I first got into this hobby. What size melon does it fit?

Re: My Cowl Size Comparison
With stretching it can now fit some of the largest heads. I do not know but I can tell you the first one started out at 23.5. Now there is just extra room but I would need a large head to try it on to tell you for sure. I really do not make them for the general public. I made two last year and I am making one right now for a special friend. Those I have given away.
