Re: Possible TDK Undersuit fabric lead?
Great! Considering how different this suit is from all the previous movie costumes, it almost seems as if actually sculpting the armor will be the easiest part! :lol
We just need to track down the "under-undersuit" and we'll have, more or less, a complete list of materials, correct?

Re: Possible TDK Undersuit fabric lead?
In some of the pics of the close up is it me or does it look a little like the armor is stitched on?

Re: Possible TDK Undersuit fabric lead?
I stand corrected!
That's what you get with high-res pictures and insider info!
Thank you Hudson, for a proper comparison shot of the two...and illuminating my path :applaude
I think that the next course of action...
(besides finding a *source* for the fabric)
Would be to find the ACCURATE elastic strapping used for the shoulders!

Re: Possible TDK Undersuit fabric lead?
Have you all considered that the fabric was made out of AWESOMENESS because Batman is so awesome?
I was just wondering. Really, back to the topic at hand.

Re: Possible TDK Undersuit fabric lead?
I totally forgot about the TDK production notes file...
Quote: The new Batsuit is comprised of 110 separate pieces. The base layer of the suit
was made of a polyester mesh material, which is employed by the military and high-tech
sports manufacturers because of its moisture-wicking properties. Then individually
molded pieces of flexible urethane were attached to the mesh to form the overall armor
plating. For added protection, carbon fiber panels, which are light yet incredibly strong
and resistant, were placed inside a select group of the urethane pieces around the legs,
chest and abdomen.
Seals the deal on the c-fiber.
