Re: Possible TDK Undersuit fabric lead?
Hi Guys. I am new here and I am very impressed with the help all of you have offered for newbs like me. I have been watching this topic for awhile and trying to do my own searching for a possible fabric lead. I tried seattlefabrics, which I was suprised did not even write back. They are only 2 hours from where I live. Another place I tried recommended their Macro Mesh Silver at this link http://www.therainshed.com/fabrics/nettingMesh.htm
What do you think?

--- I simply love what you have done with the place. Heavy Metal meets House and Garden. Not many people can be a Summer and Winter. But you pull it off nicely.

BUMP !!!!
I've read through this entire thread and no answers yet ?? Great detective work though. Some good leads goin' on.
I'm in the process of acquiring a new cowl that I'd LOVE :pray to use mesh on, but I too have had little luck.
If anyone has figured it out yet, I'd be interested in going in on some :cheers

Re: Possible TDK Undersuit fabric lead?
Ok so thanks to leiter22 i just spent an hour surfing the web and was about to give up till I found this. Call me crazy but I think that this is it, or at very least really really REALLY close. What do you guys think? A winner or a Flop?

Re: Possible TDK Undersuit fabric lead?
well the picture is rather small, hard to tell. I'll probably be going with this:

Re: Possible TDK Undersuit fabric lead?
That material looks perfect but is it a four-way stretch? That was my only problem when it came time to working on the suit. If it works then I would be in for it!

Re: Possible TDK Undersuit fabric lead?
Well even if the fabric is not very flexible, you could always get some lingerie mesh suit (about $20), and use that where required, basically the articulations. A bit more work, but should take care of the flexibility issue.

tsuyosa posted this pic on the first page of the thread....
.....looks pretty darn close. Even has the backing material already attached. Not just fishnet if you know what I mean. :lol Only problem is I can't seem to find it noted WHERE he actually found that image, or what company sells it. :huh

I'm pretty sure that its a Foam Mesh wich is stretchy to an extent.

Re: Possible TDK Undersuit fabric lead?
I've been doing a lot of research and spent a lot of money on samples and I've been told that I need to purchase the 4-way stretch fabric. I've come to the conclusion that is not true.
I've looked closely and you can see that at certain areas of the suit such as the knees the fabric is bunched up to allow movement. This same ideas flows to the calves, shoulders, and elbows as well. That mesh foam looks exactly perfect. Especially since the actual mesh on the suit is a gray instead of a black. The problem lies, how do we design a pattern for the fabric to follow this movement and make it practical?
