Awesome files! Some tips, though: PNG/GIF files shouldn't have anti-aliased edges, they confuse the machine and bump up the cost, and DXF pieces don't need to be attached to each other, there can be individual parts in the file, and attaching them makes them more expensive.
And yeah, they can't handle spline curves, so good going there. :up

Re: Free Part Day at BigBlueSaw
Hey guys! I hate to be the bearer of bad news but it looks like this deal is getting a little bit of a change. Just wanted to give you the heads-up, even though it looks like I'm a few posts late on that one.
This was posted up over at the RPF for the fellow making the deal available;
"Keep in mind that the purpose of Free Part Day is to provide people with an introduction to Big Blue Saw's service. So trying to optimize the number of parts that can be fit into a 9x9 square really goes against the spirit of the event. Our current rule is that if it's too complex, we simply won't process the order. We will have more details about this on the main blog post later today:
http://www.bigbluesaw.com/saw/big-bl...-august-6.html
Our online quoting tool does not yet support splines, as these are not found in the DXF version 12 specification. (Later versions of the DXF file specification support splines). However, most CAD software is capable of converting splines into a format that is compatible with version 12 DXF. See our CAD page for more details:

Not sure how many parts this means we can get per order, but I'm still hopeful. I was pretty keen on getting some fins made too. I'll let you know if anything else comes up over there.

Re: Free Part Day at BigBlueSaw
I tried to upload archytextural's dxf files but the price keeps coming up at the normal cost.
Too complex?
Am I missing something?
Am I just dumb?
A quick response would be good!
