'89/Returns Emblem - One Piece or Two?
Did it come with the emblem, or was the emblem part of the suit? I have seen it both ways, I prefer the emblem on the cowl, but no one appears to be making that style.

Re: Question about the 89/92 Cowl
On the rubies models, it is one piece.
Hobbyists make this two pieces, as there are different materials being used.

Re: Question about the 89/92 Cowl
Yeah, the licensed stuff had the emblems already attached. The fan made ones always come without, because the cowl will be made out of either latex, urethane or silicone and the emblems are typically made out of tinted resin. And then you either glue or Velcro the emblems into place.
What a lot of guys do, who have a Rubies/licensed cowl, is cut off the attached emblem and re-attach a resin one, to make it look better.

Re: Question about the 89/92 Cowl
On the real 89/Returns suits, which are basically identical in construction/assembly,everything is separate and stacked on top of each other like a Dagwood sandwich.
First goes the cape harness, then the armor, then the cape, then the cowl, then the emblem.
So the emblem is completely separate from everything else.

Interesting. Do you have any pics of someone suiting up like this, showing how the different pieces fit together? This is the first I've heard of a cape harness.
Also, if the emblem is part of the cowl, does the armor need to have a recess for it? If the emblem ISN'T part of the cowl, how does it look compared to the original? I am not severely worried about being screen-accurate (and in fact I keep looking at one of the Artsee generics, which has no emblem), but I really like the keaton suits, and think that may be where I want to start. My concern, would be getting a suit, and being limited on cowl choices, or the otherway around.

Yeah,me.:lol
All the suits have cape harnesses.
This is really close, but not 100% exact due to this suit being slip latex and the real suit being foam latex, but it's basically the same assembly.

The recessed area in the armor is for everything to sandwich together and to give the emblem a slightly flatter look after everything is assembled.
Only the Morris cowls have the emblems attached to them, with the 89 being glued on and the Returns molded on,and both are cheap thin rubber that look like crap.
As for any other questions,it's all personal choice,so there are no answers.

Re: Question about the 89/92 Cowl
Yes, without it being done that way, you sometimes get what you see in my avatar pic -- traveling emblem....
Have to look REAL hard at the pic to see it came loose from the velcro and isn't seated where the indentation in the chest armor is. I will eventually harness up, but this was the quick and easy version.
