Options for mounting leg armor without glue.
Got a question for you guys. I just got a new set of armor and I'm wondering the best way to mount it with out gluing it down to the undersuit. The leg armor is complete and goes all the way around the leg with no break but I'm a bit bigger that the armor so I cant pull it up all the way. Just wondering what my options are?

Re: options for mounting leg armor
I uploaded some pics of the armor here

Should I just cut the back section off and get some straps?
I'm trying to stay away from glue as much as possible on this one as I plan to redo as soon as I can figure out an undersuit for the suit. just need something to wear for a few events and Halloween this year.

Re: options for mounting leg armor
You will have to split it. I had to on my panther, and it turned out fine. Just have a 6" butt crack..
Base the mount off of your knee cap, and where the cod area lines up. Its best to have your top mounted and trimmed first.. (if your doing a 2 piece suit) so that you can line the legs up with the top.
Keith.

Re: options for mounting leg armor
Hey bro
perhaps you can cut in the leg armor at an inconsiderable position. If you don't want to glue it to the undersuit you can try to sew the legs on the undersuit. I did it this way and it worked out fine.

Re: options for mounting leg armor
So cut my butt crack and some elastic at the top? Should I do anything where my cut ends so that it does not go any further?? :doh

Re: options for mounting leg armor
I cant give any advise on elastic.. or straps. IMHO mounting like this will never yeild what gluing it would. You will constantly be hikeing it up.. adjusting it.. ect..
so- to answer your question- I dont have a good answer ;)
