Re: Upgrading a Rubies Dark Knight Cowl With a ton of Pictures COMPLETE Oct. 12/08
Biomorph1,
The Rugby helmet I got was a small adult, for a tight fit. It is a STEEDEN brand and is their basic model. Their web address is www.steeden.com.au. If you have trouble finding a retailer in your area, PM me and I'll see what I can do for you from this end. here are some pics of the one I have used." rbtag2="rb-qdecode-href-en" rbcvt="1">http://
There are more photos on the Main Forum under the title, "Intro and things I am working on" by Batty999. (I am having trouble getting the pics up on this computer.
If I can help any further, please let me know.
:cheers
Paul

Baron is absolutely right on that point - make sure you have a latex cowl and not one made of vinyl.
Paul: Attaching your cowl to your suit will largely depend on what you are doing and the effect you are going for. I don't expect "attach" mine to a suit (attaching it will likely reduce mobility). If you want to do this though, I'd recommend you look around and see what other bros have done. Great find on the rugby helmet!
More pictures to come soon!

Almost forgot,
batty: I used pretty well a whole can. The price there is nuts - I paid $13 Cdn! I know that it isn't the easiest product to find here as well, but my local Home Hardware was able to order it in. Maybe ask a hardware store if they could do that?
There are also a few other Aussie bats on the board - you may be better to ask them how they have acquired plasti-dip.

Thanks Jason. All the hardware's I have tried have never heard of it. I'll try auto places and the Aussie Bros.
Yeah, the rugby headgear works well. Fills the cowl and makes it tight for a small head.
