Re: It's all part of the plan
I think I just made sexy time! Sorry for the Borat reference but your stuff reduces me to Beavis and Butthead isms. Crazy cool work mate! I'm curious though, what are you planning to do with the Tumbler? Obviously it's cool but photo shoots, charity events..etc...?
You must have some plans to display it or showcase it in some way...do you even have a studio large enough to house it or will you keep it in your garage? Seems a shame to spend so much time on that and garage it.

Re: It's all part of the plan
The car looks FANTASTIC Bob. I'm really loving it. Not a fan of the Joker though, No offence to Bobby, IMO he's nailed it.The sclpt and workmanship are top notch. I just HATE the TDK movie and everything to do with it. :doh

Re: It's all part of the plan
thanks Ed, I really enjoy working with steel. I don't know if it's just working with metal, or the car itself that I enjoy so much. I did all the welding, and milling of the parts you see there. thread taping, everything. can't go buy anything on this car.

You milled the tires? :nahnah
I was just going to ask who did all of the aluminum work. Do you have access to a mill??
I had the opportunity to buy a bridgeport mill this past spring for 1200.00... I probably still do.. i just didnt do it because of lack of room.. man the stuff i could make with it...
anyway-- very impressive. I thought for sure you would have just bought some chevy parts for stuff like this... but the fact that your making all of these things speaks LEGIONS of your skills. Very impressive..

Re: It's all part of the plan
No Aluminum. standard Al. too weak. I use only mild steel, D.O.M tubes, or stainless steel. Wildwood disc brakes installed on the back. aftermarket rack. So everything past tires, wheels, nuts, bolts, spacers, all the typical engine stuff, gas stabilizers, shocks, coils, headlights, ant-fog lights, honeycomb mesh, propane tanks, Det. lockers, transfer case, wiring, monitors, digital displays, glass, 2 air cylinders on the lower air intakes, helms joints, is scratch. on the interior, even the seats, and steering wheel will be scratch. not happy with the glass, may scratch build that as well, using lexan/acrylic laminate(bulletproof). All the brackets, arms holding the airfoils, all scratch. steering linkage, all scratch.

Re: It's all part of the plan
That is incredible...I'm pretty much speechless...That's just amazing.
Good Lord, the fact that there is that much detail and the proportions of the metals... :surprise
