Re: Bat Texan Jim Lee-style Cowl Sculpt UPDATED PG 6
Gorgeous cowl Tom. Don't recall if it's been asked yet, but what's range for head sizes this bad boy would fit?

Re: Bat Texan Jim Lee-style Cowl Sculpt UPDATED PG 6
I'm not one to get all gushy, but man that is my favorite sculpt I've ever seen on this board or any other. Looks absolutely fantastic.
While I couldn't arrange it for probably more than six months, I'd like you to email me at Jawafive@aol.com about a commission.

Re: Bat Texan Jim Lee-style Cowl Sculpt UPDATED PG 6
Tom, that is beautiful work mate. I love the wrinkles at the back of the head, neck. Inspired. I know this is a Jim Lee, but when I see authenticity like wrinkles in cowls, costumes, etc, I always think Alex Ross. Hope that doesn't offend, but I love his work so it is meant as a high compliment.
And only having a 22" head (I just measured it when I read the size) I can't wait to see the end result. And yes, I know 22' head is small for a 47 year old guy but, what can I say, 6'3", 195 pounds, my head looks like a pimple on a sapling. But I digress.
Great job!

Re: Bat Texan Jim Lee-style Cowl Sculpt UPDATED PG 6
Thanks a lot guys, I appreciate that! It's all covered in silicone now, which is taking forever to cure because it turned cold yesterday. Weather-permitting, I'm hoping to make the fiberglass mother-mold in the next couple of days. After that comes making the urethane foam-filled master, then the one-piece ultracal mold from that, and then, finally I can start pouring latex!
Paul, no offense taken, I understand what you mean, I'm a big fan of Alex ross, too. Ross is definitely a master at adding realistic wrinkles, but I mainly was trying to emulate Jim Lee's cowl, which also has wrinkles. :batman

This has become by far my favorite non movie cowl sculpt. It really is fantastic. Can't wait to see a blue one! May have to own one.
