Re: TDK Armor - MK2:
Awesome start. You should consider making a hard copy that you can sand the hell out of.

That's a great idea actually. I'm not sure to go about doing a master though lol.

Thats looking great so far mate. Kevin has a good point. If you want glass smooth, you should consider one you can sand.

Re: TDK Armor - MK2:
If you molded with fiberglass and casted in fiberglass, you would just have to make sure there is no mechanical locking whatesoever on your original sculpt. because your casting would essentially lock into your mold making it impossible to remove. of course you would use a release wax such as pure carnuba wax buffed on the mold before you cast. but the easiest and safest would be to mold it in silicone with rigid support shell. and cast your fiberglass or urethane resin in there (i use a urethane resin because its easier to sand and no odor). that way mechanical locking would be non-existent because the silicone peels right off. but yes. fiberglass parts can be casted out of fiberglass molds. you just have to make sure there are no reverses/undercuts. at my old job at Centurion, this is how all the boat parts were molded and cast. it was my job to lay up the molds. they were always super conscious of any possible undercuts or reverses as you could imagine.

Thanks! That's exactly what I needed to hear. Definetly gonna do the silicone mold/fiberglass shell. Thank you Forest!

You're absolutely right. I've gotta throw on some clay down there and round it all out.
