Re: REEVZ Returns
Shawn nice Job with the BD cowl. Can I get some pm info on that.
How many diffrent styles of cowls were in the 89 movie.I am sure this has been talked about several times but I must have missed them. I know there were at least 3 counting the short eared one.

Re: REEVZ Returns
Nope just the one. Any differences in size etc, were down to foam shrinkage. Only one sculpt was ever made for production purposes.

Re: REEVZ Returns
Wow I really thought the cowl were he comes out of the burning bat wing was diffrent and then the chopping of the ears to fit in the car cowl and the more refined one you see in close up shots. Thanks PJ have you had you interview yet?

Re: REEVZ Returns
I was never convinced of the multiple cowls, the only reason I thought there might be two different sculpts, was because Terry Ackland-Snow mentions it on the SE DVD, that they had to do a shorter eared version for the Batmobile shots.
Not so apparently.
The only problem was the buckling of the left ear because of the slope of the canopy. The was gotten around by removing the urethane insert of that ear.
The interior shots were a cockpit mock-up anyway so seat height could be adjusted to compensate.
The were trying all sorts of different ways to make the suit and cowls work while they were shooting, which is why the metal inserts were created for the cheeks. This was to stop the distortion when Keaton turned his head etc.
By the way you sent the pics to the wrong email use this one pjware at sky dot com
Cheers mate
