Thanks for all the great comments. It's really been a fun build and has taken so long due to time constraints and idea changes I keep having as I'm working through it all. Will post some more soon.

I've had a few people send me PM's about the progress of this cave. The project is on hold as I'm having the entire basement finished so it's a construction zone. The cave is currently serving as storage while the work is being completed. As soon as the renovations are complete I expect to have the cave done shortly after. By the end of Summer is my goal.
I'll post more as I get back to work. Thanks for your interest. I'm pretty excited to finish and this down time has allowed me to use my imagination more and come up with some new ideas.

I've been working very hard on the cave lately. More inside pics coming. Hope you'll enjoy the progress. For now, here are a couple of shots that I'm posting of the entrance. In previous pics on this thread you can see the doorway entrance, here I have added fiber optic lights of the bat symbol that come on only when the door mechanism is activated with some light on and in the dark. Thought it would be a nice effect to see where the door actually is located when you hit the secret switch. They're a bit blurry, sorry for that.

Basically, I downloaded the symbol from online, printed it out in the size I wanted, taped it to the back of the door and used a dremel tool to drill holes at consistent intervals. Then I threaded the fiber lines through the holes and trimmed them right up to the bricks. The optic lamp and wires are all concealed in the door on the opposite side.
