Reevz "Hero" suit sculpt --UPDATE pg.2
Started a new Hero suit...had to scrap the last one I did as it was a little too small---got my hands on a Kilmer body form so the results will be a lot better in terms of form and fit... this will be a complete suit ( legs, forearm & calves)...really only have one side worked out at the moment, working on it little by little so I'll have more updates in a few days

We don't see enough generic sculpts in my opinion. Especially of this high a caliber. Can't wait to see how it turns out. :up

Re: Reevz "Hero" suit sculpt --WIP
Shawn,
Your sculpt is off to a great start, but since you're the one sculpting it, that's probably a bit redundant to say. :up
I wanted to ask, since you're not replicating anything, have you considered making the arm muscles segmented from the main chest so that they don't have to be cut away to allow you to raise your arms (or even move them forward for that matter) without the suit bunching and wrinkling.
Every movie muscle suit made (with the exception of the DKBMX one that doesn't look like muscles at all) wrinkles, bulges, and severely limits your arm mobility. Sure they look like an action figure when you're standing completely still in one specific position (like a sculpture one might say), but when you move it blows the illusion.
Just something to think about, since you're know as sort of an innovator I figured I'd ask you about a more innovative approach. :cheers

Nice start. I always like muscle forms verses the mechanical look begins and dark night has. Its good to see an original suits being made too.
Ive got a Kilmer cast too I haven't committed to a large scale sculpt afraid I might never finish it. How much clay do you think you have on him?

it's funny you mention that because I ALMOST did that very same thing...this is sort of my 1st official suit so the minute it's finished I'll be doing another one for a Werewolf costume idea I've got and will def need it to be mobile enough to have the arms free so I'll get my chance to have the arms separate from the chest...we'll see how that turns out :up

I really don't remember how much clay I've used, I have a large home Depot bucket that I use for all my used clay and I just know that I've used a lot of it...but once I start trimming and carving a lot of it ends up on the floor too :lol
