Need a little guidance with a chest plate...

Thinking about making a new Batman costume, kinda custom made I guess...

I need a little steering for a chest plate/chest armour. Looking for a kind of "Panther" look maybe. I've searched Google for simple things like "costume chest armour" but it only shows Gladiator costumes and the such.

Any ideas?

Kindest regards!

What are you looking to make it out of? Are you planning on sculpting/casting a piece?

Target sells a chest piece around Halloween, it's very basic and sorta looks like a poor man's 89 chest. It's flesh color, I had one years ago and plastidipped it and traded it to Lrcrow. I think it sold for about $10. It was sort of a foamies like material, I saw a few brothers use them on this site and they look decent, especially for the price.

the one in your pic is pretty cool as is. I'd suggest getting one of those cheap roman gladiator chests and cutting out the pectoral muscles, painting them black, and attaching them to the chest armor you already have. Otherwise, you have to check out the terms of service if you're asking about getting a panther suit from anyone here.

The Rubies Begins with the 3-D chest worked pretty good if you pulled off the fabric and Plasti dipped it (Not Panther I know)and would go good with the rest of your suit IMO.

There is this one....

not too bad for what they're asking.

And then this one...

I think it is pulled (recast) :geez from an old mass produced Sonar chest plate, so it may be okay for cutting out the pertinent pieces.

Just some thoughts

I'll put my 2 cents in by telling you not to do business with both sellers from ebay. They have a big reputation of ripping off people.
The chest from rubber gorilla looks amazing and their reputation is allready made as a good company. Another good choice you could have is with XdfX. They make two different style chest muscles, with and without shoulders.

Hope I helped!

Wow guys! Amazing, that Rubber Gorilla chest piece looks pretty decent for what I'm after aswell.

I should have said what I was looking for in greater detail really, but the stuff you showed me is cool.

To be honest, at the moment I only use this site for inspiration and ain't too bothered by trading as of yet anyways.

I find it quite satisfying starting something from scratch and finishing it anyways :)

Again, Thanks sooo much!
