Classic comic batman Belt (costume to follow)
I'm working on a Batman costume for halloween, I've not got much time and I'm reluctant to spent large sums of money.
I bought a batman belt buckle off of Amazon and a yellow leather belt from a local leather taylor. The pouches came from a cheap batman belt made of PVC from a fancy dress shop. I cut the pouches off the rubber belt and cut slots in the sides of each pouch then slid them onto the leather belt.

Re: Classic comic batman Belt (costume to follow)
I bought a sheet of black felt with a sticky back from Hobby Craft and cut out a bat symbol which I plan to attach to the chest of the costume. But I'm having second thoughts, it might look better if I use black pleather instead.

Re: Classic comic batman Belt (costume to follow)
Thanks for the compliment, I know it's not perfect but it's a start. The pouches let it down but I plan to make some pouches out of yellow leather using a pattern I found on thedentethelmet.com

I'd go with the pleather emblem.

Nice start. Hope you reach your goal by the end of the month. Shape of bat emblem is sharp. I second the pleather option is time permits.

Good job on the belt. Go with the pleather emblem.

Re: Classic comic batman Belt (costume to follow)
If you can get the pleather, use it. And that is a good comic style belt too. I personally like the pouches. Maybe just panit the snaps black. (See, I said what everyone else said, just in a different way).
