My Batman Begins W.I.P
Hi Everybody
Im new here, my Name is Lars, 29years old from germany. Short Story how I found my way in here: Decided to do a "low Cost" Batman Costume for our german carnival this year (Febuary Weekend around the 20th). Got myself a cheap Rubies Dark Knight costume, with cowl, belt some Gotham 100 Boots a nice custom tailored Cape, Motorcycle Gloves and (Working!) Kids Gauntlets. Modified the Suit a little and thats it. This was the result:
After that I thought to myself: Lets take it to a higher level. I love the Batman Begins Movie and what Nolan made out of it so it was clear for me to go for a Begins Costume. After searching the internet for sources and infos I stumbled over this Site. Now here I am and I want to show you Guys my progress so far. Here we go: Catched a nice Armor Set of Bob D. Urethane Chestarmor and Ludakris Legs, Calfs and Kneepads. Together with a foam Spine to cover the Zipper of the Bodysuit (which I dont have right now). In the UK I found a nice Cowl (Urethane) which really fits me well. Only the process of getting into it is a bit difficult but looks awesome ^^. Also had the Luck to get my Hands on one of coofunkcurlys awesome Capes. Lightweight, flows in the Wind beautifully and its deep black. You almost merge with the shadows. Love it! Gauntlets are sceduled for this week. Got them on the Bay as well and they look really okay to me. Thats it so far. Here are some picturs of my item line up:
So what do you Guys think so far? Am I goint the right direction?

Welcome to the Cave Lars. Everything is looking really good so far. Like Kalel08 asked "Where did you get the gauntlets from"? I know you said on the Bay but what seller on the Bay? What brand and model are the motorcycle gloves?

Welcome aboard. Let me just point out the miracle you performed with the Rubies cowl on your first suit. That thing looks almost unrecognizable as a Rubies.

Welcome to the cave,looking good so far mate. I love the Begins concept also, I went for the UD suit but now have upgraded to a Bob D set of armour as for me the UD wasnt accurate enough for a costume as nice as it is with the zipper in the front.
I see you are also a 501st legion trooper, there is a few of us on here, Im TB4505 biker scout detachment leader

Hay Lars,
i thin we 2 met a year ago at the sith lord forum. We wanted to buy some Vader shins together 
Its really funny, i now want to build a Begins costume too. Got some parts already.... My own thread will follow.
Good luck with the costume, i hope you post many pictures, and i can learn from it :-)

Thanks everybody. The Gauntlets where from a user called Bates82 I guess. He is going to do some working TDK Gauntlets and needed the Begins no more. Had some luck to catch them. Btw: They arrived today! The Rubies cowl is out of latex I added a zipper in the back so its closed. This Cowl really fits me like a glove and it did not even look shady. I was defenitly suprised.
And Yes, I am also a member of the 501st Legion, German Garrison serving as SL 5182 Darth Vader RotS. My first big passion. Im working on my Stormtrooper, saving some money for a RS Props Armor.
The Gloves are some cheap motorcycle Gloves. Here´s the Link to it:
