i think typically the leg pieces come in the upper sections, which are the 9 pieces. and you have to request the calves separately.

Re: Mounting Foam Latex Begins 9 Piece Legs and Extra parts guide.

I think that must be the case then, its just unusual to have one calf though don't you think?

I've had some more time today to get the leg pieces out again and pair them up with a better photo. Obviously there are the extra hamstrings.

Now one of my major concerns after i've mounted the legs is letting the suit go off for some repairs and a finish. Seen as I know nothing of foam latex, I have no wish to even attempt to repair this as I know i'd mess it up.

I've uploaded some more photos of the upper chest section and it is visible to see one major flaw in the foam which will need filling.

The other shots are to show the rest of the texture of the suit. Now to me, the finish has varying textures which I have tried to capture in the various shots. Im guessing this is because various repairs have already been done to the foam and therefore there are inconsistencies with the texture from repair.

Is it possible to get a finishing coat of paint after all repairs are done, both to add a matching finish and to combine the shades of both the foam latex and the under suit?

Finally my biggest worry is the foam rotting. On the back of the armor there appears to be the begging of some. Am I correct in guessing this? If so obviously this needs to be fixed asap. What are my options? Is it possible to combine both a finishing coat of some kind of solution that will both give the suit that finishing look and prevent rotting and deterioration?

Ideally in an ultimate world what I want is for me to finish mounting the suit next week, then to ship out the suit for foam filling repairs and a final coat of paint/finish.

Most importantly I want this suit to look beyond words, not just because I own it, but for the sake of representing such a beautiful item.

I feel if none of the actions above are taken, this will fail.

Any and all help is always appreciated as always everyone.

Thanks!

i understand you want to protect your investment! Not sure if you can put an extra layer of coat on the top layer for rot prevention/protection.
if there is one, let me know because i've never heard of it being used.

i dont think you have any worries about the flaws on your torso piece. it looks really good, only when you inspect up close you see the flaws but from a distance hardly noticeable. yours actually looks a lot better than mine!

Haha thanks for the reassuring words buddy.

Hopefully someone out there can shed some light on helping us both out in regards to these suits and potential plans of action :)
