Re: Batgirl sculpt (Pic Heavy From Start to Finish)
Excellent work! Only thing very problematic will be to put on the cowl. If you use urethane it may rip, the original design was a bit more open under the chin. You may have to use two sorts of urethane, on the top a harder one to support the ears, and a very soft one on the neck.

Re: Batgirl sculpt (Pic Heavy From Start to Finish)
The only material I can really imagine this being made with and actually feeling like a second skin is silicone. My compositeeffects mask has a fairly skinny neck that stretches really easily.

Re: Batgirl sculpt (Pic Heavy From Start to Finish)
Thanks for the kind comments. Lots of possibilities for casting this so time will tell what will be done, but I assure you the quality and look of the cowl will not be affected. Molding will start next week which is always a fun process. If I can I'll try to record parts for those interested in it.

Always blown away by your sculpts Keith. I got some Y2Klay a while back and damn its hard stuff! Guess that southern heat really helps for using that stuff.

Lol. No the southern heat doesn't make it any easier. As soon as it's out of my clay oven it starts to harden so I have to work quick with it before its hard as a rock again. It's probably why I like the stuff holds detail very well so I can get sharp edges ect.

Wow. The level of work and detail you put into these projects is amazing. I only hope my attempts turn out half as good.

Keith
I gotta try that stuff one of these days. The stuff I've used in the past is way too soft for sharp edges.
Gotta say again Keith, that is one sweeeeeeet Batgirl cowl.
I still have that small 89 cowl you made me (your first sculpt if I recall correctly).
