Re: The 'Holy Grail' of BATcowls
It's been a LONG time coming - but here's an update!
Bet ya think I've given up with my BAT suit, well you couldn't be more wrong!
I haven't been working on it all the time but I have been working on it every now and then.
So what's new, well, the BIG news is, it's been worn for this Halloween .... Yep, it was a last minute thing, so I had to finish as much as I could for the night .....
Keep watching this space and i'll post a few pics, unfortunately as is always the case, I didn't take many pics as it was a pain to get to my phone to take the pics, but I do have a few!
Anyways here's a couple of pics of various parts I've worked on.
First off is two more pics of the Muscle Suit and for those eagled eyed BAT people, you might spot a completely new grey suit,
Yes, I've been sewing again and I have made my own grey all in one suit all pieced together and sewn by my own fair hands lol
Top Half of the Muscle Suit

My own designed and produced Grey Body Suit

Full BAT suit pics to follow shortly

Re: The 'Holy Grail' of BATcowls
Really, no pictures .....
That's strange as I'm at work rather than home and I can see them, no probs!
Can someone else post and let me know if they also can't see the pictures!
Thanks

Re: The 'Holy Grail' of BATcowls
This is moving along great. First a cowl then a whole suit. Nice job.

Looking very good.
I wish I had the time (although it is the skill that is missing in my dept!).

Re: The 'Holy Grail' of BATcowls
Long awaited update!
Just like in the comics
After a few tryouts in the field and for aesthetics I’ve decided that the zip on the cape and cowl was not exactly what I had pictured in my mind.
Not to mention the cape/cowl was becoming pretty difficult to undo and re-zip and yes, the full effect was seen last Halloween evening, pics to follow soon.
On closer inspection of the material I realised that the four way stretch could probably allow the cape with the attached cowl to be pulled over my head. So after making up a few small test pieces of just a neck opening I decided to take the plunge and take out the zip on the front of the neck and sew straight up the front, thus properly creating a cape with a fully attached cowl that I could, well … just pull over my head!
