Re: Arkham Origins - head to toe build *PIC HEAVY*
Damn, way to make the rest of us look bad!
Seriously, though...this thread is leaving me speechless on a consistent basis. This is awesome stuff.

Test castings of the shins/boot cover and belt. Should get some paint on the belt next week. And maybe a pic of everything together so far. :coffee

Lewis captured my own thoughts. The range of your shop is so much fun to watch. Really like the idea of a solid belt.

Re: Arkham Origins - head to toe build *PIC HEAVY*
Thanks! :up The belt is an interesting one. It is huge. Probably easily 3-4x the volume of a TDK belt. We could have cast it in the typical materials but it would be way too heavy. For a costume it would sag and look terrible. Not to mention the cost.
We put a lot of thought into not only how something will look but how it will cast and how it will wear. And we do so from a costuming perspective. In the end we went with a self skinning 2 part urethane foam. It is tough, accepts paint, and quite lightweight still. Around 2 lbs with straps and buckles attached.
