Added new photos with my modded Inferno/MrX 89 cowl. See page 3.
Hi guys. Thought I'd share these with you (already posted on my facebook a week ago or so)
Information: The cowl was obtained through my buddy Ablary, which was originally sourced by Paul Wares (the actual foam latex cowl created for production of the film) and restored and pulled by Inferno and the mysterious Mr.X.
It's a very nice piece.
The Keaton face cast is a Bob Dullam sculpt as far as I'm concerned. Many thanks to Hunter for passing this my way.
The emblem is an all metal piece by Dave Mosser. I was very lucky to grab one of these. I thought I'd miss my shot.
The cape was given to me by Mr.X, cast of a real deal cape with flaws and all. It's all latex.
The belt was sourced by PJ Wares. Really nice castings of rigid black urethane and pods. The resin buckle was from the greatest bat uncle in the world. Uncle Ed! :)
I did the paint job myself using a couple different metal pigment powders, some opaque yellow and such, all air brushed over carefully. In some situations, depending on the lighting, it can look metallic bronze, bright opaque yellow or in between like in this shot.
The armor is just a bad recast latex set that I got many years ago in a trade which I adhered to my mannequin just to hold down my other parts.
My actual bat suit is in a box, waiting for next Halloween. :up

The buckle looks like it probably came out of my belt mold. I remember casting up a buckle only for someone that wanted to trim it up for use on a belt. Could have been you Nar. It would have had a lot of extra resin in the ends that needed to be sanded back and would have had to have been hollowed out in the back to accept the straps.
Everything looks great BTW. Very nice display.

YES. Oh, my brain is turning into mush. I only thanked you for it a while back when I was first working on the belt, was it two years ago? Yeah, it took me a few weeks to clean the back part with my Dremmel but it worked out perfectly. A VERY nice cast. Many thanks Uncle! I better edit that in my original post! :up
And thanks guys! Glad you approve. It's still a pretty surreal experience, having this thing standing in my walk in closet (until I can find a good spot for him in my office). I never imagined I'd actually get this close to the real thing when I was 11 years old. I need to show you guys my first 89 bat suit from when I was a kid... :embarassed lol..
