Re: Michael Keaton's "Batman Forever" suit (pictures!)
Bale was good in Treasure Island(90) but I believe he was already signed up with Disney for the musical Newsies(92). I'm somehow glad he wasn't free.

I would love to see Keaton as an elderly Bruce if somebody adapted Batman Beyond for the big screen. There's only so many times you can repackage Bruce as a younger-middle aged Bat imo.

If Batman hadn't been replaced 17 times since the first screening he would be around 95 years old but I see what you mean.
No more reboots, origins and flashbacks.

The mk1 Robin figure might be Ricky Addison-Reed. Dropped from the Skarren rewrite.
Another great Kenner prototype pic.

A pink cape?!?! Noooooo!
(That would be great displayed next to a figure of Adam West with the pink "contaminated cowl," though.)

Re: Michael Keaton's "Batman Forever" suit (pictures!)
I had heard something about Marlon Wayans cast as Robin. I also read that Pierce Brosnan turned down the batman role before it was offered to Keaton?

Ricky was cast to appear in 1989, we would have seen Joker kill Robin's parents too.
As far as I know it was only ever Keaton for the lead until the sequels got so strange nobody wanted it.

It recently came out that Pierce turned down the role. whether it was before or after Keaton, I'm not sure.

Re: Michael Keaton's "Batman Forever" suit (pictures!)
There were many names being discussed with regard to playing Batman in 1989 including Mel Gibson and Bill Murray. As far as I understand Burton wanted Keaton and fought for him.
I don't remember Pierce's name being in the frame however it may not have been public knowledge.
Personally I thought he was one of the worst Bonds and I have to say I am pleased they didn't go down that route.
