Re: Reznor9's Batman: Arkham Origins Build
Just a little update. Made a new chest piece out of foam(sixth one was the charm), added a layer of terraflex and then a layer of vinyl. Just finished weathering the chest by actually scuffing up the vinyl with the dremel to include the bullet hole. Added a little bit of black acrylic here and there to give the illusion of powder burns from the gunshot as well as just some run of the mill grime. Also redid my chest emblem, made the wingspan a little wider and cut the ears to complement the contours/lines of the upper chest. Need to start weathering the abs now.

Finished weathering the abs. Added another bullet hole for in-game accuracy and threw on a couple scratches and several thin layers of black acrylic for that nice dirty worn look. Also started gluing on some of the suits eyelets, giving it some nice contrast... It's coming along.

Thanks Floyd! Just trying to keep up with all these guys that are sporting those awesome UD Replica batsuits. Hopefully I can still stand out in the crowd at the NYCC.

Always fun to see the tweaks you make from one build to the next. This will be very cool at NYCC. Look forward to many photos.

Thanks! Now doing my research on painting over urethane. Reason being I want to add a little bit of weathering to the cowl. No physical battle damage like I did to the chest piece, just some dry brushing to give the illusion of light scuffs. I've just never painted urethane and don't want to end up messing up my cowl. But I've seen other urethane cowls with painted weathering and they look fantastic. Kills me that I haven't been able to work on it in the past two days, I really wait to finish this build.

Re: Reznor9's Batman: Arkham Origins Build
Been working on some gauntlet commissions that have kept me from working on my own suit. But I did manage to hand sew some Velcro into my undersuit jacket. I then used barge cement to glue the other half of the Velcro to my chest piece. Worked out really well. Going to have to do the same thing for the abs. I'll post pics when I finish with that. Until then just a pic of the gauntlets I'm working on for a customer. I'm experimenting with adding 3 coats of wood glue prior to dip, primer and paint.
