The final update. Batman 1989... And Catwoman of Batman Returns...
Hey brothers. It's been years since I first leaped into this action. Working exclusively with the 89 armor for years. Learned a lot, made mistakes and improved on them. I'm happy to say that I am finally done with this suit.
Head to toe, it's finished. Same with my wife's Catwoman suit. I resewed the entire thing up for her, added the stitches and reworked her cowl to look and fit much better than the last time she wore it.
We went out to a Halloween club party and took em for a spin. Before that, we took a few minutes to take a few pics and here they are.
I'm very grateful to all who have helped me out and of course, those who have actually had a hand in making all these pieces.
I feel like I've finally reached the finish line with my 89. Nothing more to do here other than possibly have everything redone in foam latex (yea right) or at least polyurethane foam, skinned with a thin coat of either latex or urethane rubber (who knows..we'll see). But as for this rigid monster, it goes back on my mannequin display.

I gotta get back to work now, but I will discuss these suits later on in more detail.

Here's a raw cell phone pic. I thought it was interesting how it made my belt look like an opaque mustard yellow.

Love the pose in that third picture.
Catwoman looks amazing as well.
Now you need a Returns costume to go with her...

That hands down the best 89 suit I've ever seen that Michael Keaton wasn't wearing. It's just perfect and spot on. Pure AWESOMENESS brother.

Thank you all so much my brothers.
It's been a long and tough struggle to get it to look just right. A lot of trial and error and obsessively studying both film and photos.
Any of you on FB following Dave Lea? He's been sharing some very very nice pics of him in the suit. Very revealing without the screen filters and dynamic camera angles.
Hey Gary, thanks buddy. I'm not sure who exactly pulled the rd cape copy but I obtained it from Mr.X back in 2012 or earlier, when he was looking to let it go. I once thought he pulled it but to be honest, I was never actually told of it's origin.
Just felt really lucky to have it in my hands.
