Ordering my first printer

Well I finally decided now is the time. There are so many things I want to start making. I have accumulated files over the last year but other than my Begins cowl I havent done much with them.
My first project is the TDK armor which I have the file for. Second project is most likely going to be the Flash...

Re: Ordering my first printer

Hey I got the Robo3d plus. Honestly it has worked great. I was able to print the Flash and Zoom without a problem as well prototypes for a product I am developing.
I did run into an issue though. Was mid way through printing Daredevils cowl when my right height motor started having issues. I called tech support first thing this morning and once he got all my info he said tier 2 tech support will be contacting me. It is possible they will simply replace my printer since it is so new and under warranty. The positive is they are in San Diego so I shouldn't be out of commission for long with it. I looked online and this does not seem to be a common issue or anything. I may have just had a bad motor.

I agree. I mean other than the glitch with my chip loosening my printer has been pretty rock solid. I have it printing my muscle knot reliever prototype right now.

Re: Ordering my first printer

the only problem i have with my printer is the provided software, which is fine, but cant generate supports! thats bad, if u want to print more organig stuff like cinemaquettes or so! there are programms out there like cura and such which are for free, but doesnt run on my old pc! (still windows xp) lol!
i found a way around with a programm called netfabb, which lets me cut a object into many pieces so they are (more or less) printable w/o supports!
