Who's seen Suicide Squad? and without adding any spoilers how was it? Good? Bad? Ugly?
I'd kinda like to see it but think I'll wait for the DVD.

I loved it. Out of the three DC films in this new world it is my favorite.
My wife also loved it. We both agree Will Smith was a surprise in a good way. Margot Robbie killed it. Jared did well I just personally am not a giant fan of the look. But I loved the little hat tip to the comics. that was very very cool.

Saw it last night. Thought it was bad.
Harley and Deadshot get lots of time, which is fine, but the movie isn't long enough to do other characters justice. Like Killer Croc, who just grunts and can barely form a sentence.
Slipknot was barely in it. Captain Boomerang was funny with the very little he was given. But not given any real time to shine. Rick Flagg and his underdeveloped relationship with June Moon was a snore. No time given to actually connect and feel for these characters. They're all in there in name only.
The villain was lame sauce. No motive as to why they were trying to take over the world. Even with that plot, you had really no idea exactly how they were doing it and wtf was going on with them.
Amanda Waller was played well. But the overall paper thin plot and random shoe in for the suicide squad to exist was bad and made no sense.
The Joker was barely in it and he zero impact on the overall plot. Like, none. He was useless in this movie. And didn't enough screen time to actually judge whether or not Leto was good.
I was bored throughout. While there are some decent scenes, it's nothing memorable. Will Smith and Margot Robbie were the bright spots. They took horse manure and made it bearable. But their storylines are boring, and for Harley particularly, there's no real arc.
D.C., in my opinion, just continued to shat the bed. Man of Steel was their best film and its incredibly mediocre. BvS was a long, boring pointless slog with terrible editing and too many plot lines with no answers, and now Suicide Squad, with just as many problems as BvS, stuffed in a smaller, more boring movie that tries to be D.C.'s answer to Guardians of the Galaxy and fails miserably.
I really am at a breaking point with D.C. on film. They just continue to sputter with bad movies and they're pretty much knee deep in their failing universe.

I'm just a passionate amateur movie goer lol. And I love D.C.. And I'm tired of Marvel. The Marvel movies are good, but they're cookie cutter. They all look, sound and feel the same. I want something new and different. D.C. could be it But their movies stink.
And they turned Batman into a short sighted, murdering maniac who was legit going to kill Superman lol. That hurts.

I saw it last week. While the DCEU isn't exactly off to a roaring start in my books (Why not put the strongest foot forward and reboot Using Batman, Bringing in the Batfamily and expanding from there organically? seems to make more sense, compared to cram as many league member references in to set up the JLA). I have been enjoying them, Mainly due to getting to see Bat's in his Black and grey on the big screen.
But. My girlfriend fell in love with the trailer for Suicide Squad and immediately fell in love with the character of Harley Quinn. Me trying to get her into comics via Batgirl fell flat, Now because of the hype the run up to this film caused. She has like 5 different Harley books, Harley toy's, Harley lego and is slowly branching out into other characters because of harley.
She left the cinemas and said the classic comic nerd line that made me such a proud boyfriend to hear
'I prefer the version of her in the comics..'
This Film was the spark that caused my Girlfriend to start really liking comics. For that i'm very grateful. I get to share my passion with her now.
I think us Fanboys get a bit too protective over these characters at times. Let's just always remember, the films we love will always be there, as will the comics. All that can come of a new batch of films is a new batch of fans. Who knows, we might even get a couple on here soon :hug :cheers
