Yes sir. Try to cut smaller chunks instead of big chunks.

Re: Batman Dawn Of Justice "Build"
I'll give it a go Saturday morning. Excited to give it a shot. I finally got the hang of using contact cement. Think the second time will be the charm.

Re: Batman Dawn Of Justice "Build"
So there's no way I'll have my cowl in by Saturday, so I've gone out and bought the DoJ Batman face mask from Wal-Mart and preferred and received the rubies cowl. Surprisingly, the cowl isn't terrible, other than it's really tight.
Pics to come, but I've hastily modified the back, trimmed the neck off, and split the chin. I couldn't move my jaw at all so I'm gonna super glue an elastic band under my chin to give me more range of motion.
Will also place the hard shell under th mask. May not glue it though. They don't line up perfectly.
Pics to come.

Re: Batman Dawn Of Justice "Build"
I'm very interested to see how combining the cowl and face mask turns out. I never would have thought of that.

Re: Batman Dawn Of Justice "Build"
It looks pretty decent. I need to put some foam in the cowl ears to beef em up. But the hard shell behind the cowl definitely gives it a better look.
My only gripe is that the cowl is not a great pull, obviously, and it's not the same size as the shell so it doesn't like up exactly right. But it'll be good enough for Halloween weekend as a makeshift suit.
Pics to come late this evening.

Re: Batman Dawn Of Justice "Build"
That's a pretty nice cowl. Sorry you've had to struggle so much with everything else. Truthfully that's the primary reason why I haven't done a suit for myself in years. No help.

Re: Batman Dawn Of Justice "Build"
Well I'm giving it another go.
I ordered a new zentai. I think the issue I had in terms of fit last time was I entered the measurement in inches instead of centimeters. So hopefully that'll be remedied.
I've ordered pretty much the whole suit. Bracers and belt are the rubies models. When I get them, I'm going to trim up the bracers and possibly add foam to shape them. But they look fairly decent as a starting point.
The belt looks fine.
I got the emblem, zentai, cape and boots from aliexpress.com. I'm amazed at how much they offer for a budget Batman build.
What I'm gonna end up doing is getting a second leotard zentai, taking it to a seamstress, and having them sew the base suit to the under suit and create muscle pockets.
I'll them cut out foam muscle shapes, probably not as thick as the last attempt, and slide them into the pockets. Figure the seams will not be overly visible and the muscle definition may look more noticeable.
Gonna take a while for most of the stuff to come in but I'm excited.

Re: Batman Dawn Of Justice "Build"
Belt came in. Looks good. Bracers are on the way, as is the emblem and custom boots.
Excited to see how the stuff comes together.
