DEVELOPING THE GOTHAM CITY VILLAINS!!!!
Of course, GOTHAM CITY would not need the constant vigilant protection of The Batman and Robin The Boy Wonder if it were not for the nefarious, evil doings of its most psychotic villains!
And I have seen to it that the Dynamic Duo have their fair share of adversaries to contend with within my "Legends of Gotham City" line of 9Art Elite Edition Custom Action Figures!!

I began work on the Villains by establishing a "THIN MAN" / AVERAGE BUILD character body that I could use to create the various male supporting characters / villains of Gotham.
It would simply NOT DO for me to create these characters on the same "heroic muscular male" body that I developed for Bruce Wayne / The Batman... as MEGO had chosen to do, and Figures Toys Company after them all these years later.
I built the average man super-articulate body as a kit-bash from the exquisite Zica "S" type body, and the vintage MEGO "type 1" Thin man torso with my own sculpt modifications.

This is my head sculpt for Eddie Nashton, AKA "Edward Nigma", AKA "THE RIDDLER" (comic book version).
He will wear a removable velvet, royal purple facemask, and he has been built on a 9Art "thin man" super-articulate body.
He will feature a removable kelly green bowler hat and a question mark walking cane accessory made from real polished brass.

THE JOKER
We all know that The Batman's greatest foe is The Clown Prince of Crime... The Joker.
So it was a foregone conclusion that I would create him as a 9Art Elite Edition Custom Action Figure.
With a "thin man" body already developed for my custom figures, my task became to create the richness of his classic traditional comic book purple tuxedo outfit WITHOUT resorting to the simple silkscreened jumpsuit that MEGO released.
My personal MANDATE was that this would have to be a FULLY DRESSED figure with pants, green shirt, orange vest, neck tie, tuxedo jacket, sox, wing tip shoes, and spats!
Before tackling the outfit, though, I spent a couple of months developing a suitably PSYCHOTIC HEAD SCULPT that did not contradict the comic book character and that looked appropriate next to the rest of the characters in my line of custom figures.
