That being said though, the overweight guy in a beard wearing a Batgirl suit is a bit disturbing.nondisclosed_email@example.com (efarrell4)Fri, 15 May 2020 10:36:06 +0000 Re: Its all about size, color and shape!https://bbrotherhoodofthebat.runboard.com/p2346003,from=rss#post2346003https://bbrotherhoodofthebat.runboard.com/p2346003,from=rss#post2346003Oh yes! I fully agree that costuming is about fun of the hobby and socializing, and not about ego-trip. The joy of going to a convention is the most important feeling. No matter the look! nondisclosed_email@example.com (Phantombatman)Sun, 10 May 2020 14:21:16 +0000 Re: Its all about size, color and shape!https://bbrotherhoodofthebat.runboard.com/p2346001,from=rss#post2346001https://bbrotherhoodofthebat.runboard.com/p2346001,from=rss#post2346001Last time I "suited up" at a convention I used my own cowl and my basic suit was a grey wetsuit with black "granny panties". I was going for the old school comic look. All of my friends said I looked great but when I saw pics I was like,,,,,,Ah,,,No. I am just too big around the belly. I decided right then and there that if I wasn't at least "in shape" I wasn't suiting up again. How can you look like a hero if you just look like "Fat-Man"? That said though I have no problem with other out of shape guys dressing as long as it makes them happy. I recall a bunch of guys basically making poor jokes here about a pc they saw of a guy dressed in an Adam West suit at DC that was overweight and I really thought that was way-un-cool.nondisclosed_email@example.com (efarrell4)Sun, 10 May 2020 12:38:06 +0000 Its all about size, color and shape!https://bbrotherhoodofthebat.runboard.com/p2346000,from=rss#post2346000https://bbrotherhoodofthebat.runboard.com/p2346000,from=rss#post2346000Seriously, when I check photos of costumes, be it cosplay, official replica, movie costumes or TV costumes of Batman it all comes to the same 3 most important features for a great (fantastic?) look: 1. Your length. A tall Batman makes half of the show! 2. The color of your costume. If its rainbow or pink it may be comic-accurate, but it is most impressive in black still.3.: Your body shape and shape of your face...that is painful, not all of us have the butt-chin, not all of us are fitting perfectly into a rubber cowl, and not all of us work out enough to have the muscles needed to fill a suit...Here are some photos as examples... nondisclosed_email@example.com (Phantombatman)Sat, 09 May 2020 16:22:41 +0000
