Yes, it's unfortunate that the photos are gone. Most were hosted on Photobucket and they tried to muscle big money out of people a few years back to keep the pages open to hot-linking. When people wouldn't pay up the pics died. On top of that the site became so glitchy and slow many of us couldn't even retrieve what we had hosted there to re-host them elsewhere.
Add to that the previous Admin staff here decided to dump this place and re-establish themselves on Facebook. I took over and tried to revive things but sadly most just want the "instant gratification" of Facebook. Some day I suppose that will go away too (like MySpace, LOL). It's really only a matter of time.

I miss the knowledge sharing of this place. I got a lot of valuable knowledge from this place.
I wonder if Google photos work with these old boards...
EDIT: Nevermind I found out about the Google stuff it seems.

Yeah, I keep hearing how forums are dead but the Jeep Wrangler forum and the RPF seem to be doing just fine. I don't understand why people won't come here and revive this place. I guess it's just the instant gratification of facebook.

It seems for me that more and more people want to buy their Bat-costume from the shelf and not wanting to put effort in creating or making it themselves. So when the sellers switched over to FB the buyers followed. And the Ebay and Amazon-mentality of cheap-cheap-cheap is also not helping most of the buyers are not willing to pay you the money for your efforts.I watched the BOTB on FB closely and its a very slow traffic there. The RPF is still going because of the selling of un-licensed items, and because ALL kind of costumes are traded there, not only Bat related.

It's funny... I think a part of the fascination with Batman costuming, at last for me, was the creation of the suit. I remember looking at sculpts, molds and castings for hours and hours here. Sure I'd like to own a top notch costume... but creating one myself, from scratch, has always been a dream of mine haha.
My girlfriend and I are going through some rough times and are going to be moving away from each other and moving the kids back and forth every week... maybe now is the perfect time to loose the dad body and get a tight fitting latex suit

Hello all.
John from Scotland here. I never left this site, just have not posted anything in a while because I 'lost'my password for ages and I haven't really made anything in a while.
I am all about the 89 & Returns Batmobiles, however I have been slowly adding to my small collections of Bat Toys and figures along the way.
Never did like FB, so deleted my profile there a good few years ago now.
As I am now retired, I will try to post up some more Photos and comment more often.

Welcome back John! Great to have you back! Not much of posting here since the BOTB group on FB was founded, but I am there too so that I can post here if there is something important there that is happening. For the moment its an exciting time because Keaton and the 89 Batmobile will be back in a movie, also the Affleck Batman and the new Batman Movie. Hope you have a fun and happy time and stay healthy!

"Old" member here.
I started my whole prop collection with a batman cowl. It was my first love.
Took a bit of hiatus with this forum but I hope members return and start contributing like they used to.
Can't wait to see Keaton return as Batman.
